I don't visit this site as much as I used to. Pages slow to load, older PC. What do you want to know?
I contacted DieselSite awhile back. I purchased a 203*F T-Stat and new housing from them. I am completly happy with this upgrade. Heater/defroster temps are MUCH warmer. Highly recommended.
I am currently running without the cooling fan and shroud. No overheating symptoms as of today. Outside temps are still on the cool side. I live in Idaho. I'm keeping my fingers crossed as summer approaches.

a properly working 203 thermostat won't make your truck overheat.
it will simply be fully open at 203 degrees where the stock is fully open at 180. once the thermostat is fully open it is only letting the coolant flow, whether or not your truck overheats is dependent on how hard it is working and the condition of your cooling system components.
I have one in mine, works good, but at the same time do you know if your t-stat is even working or just stuck open? If your t-stat has failed and is just stuck open even a new stock one would be a great upgrade. either way i figured for only a few more bucks than what a stock one costs i figured it was worth a shot and seems to run good!
Thanks guys my neck is new and I have a stainless ring on it to help seal the neck so I should be ok just changing the stat and o ring I think I will give it a shot
