Had truck in for oil change, service advisor comes out and askes if I had one of the tires replaced ( me NO) 3 of them are at 5/32 and 1 is at 8/32 wear these are the factory original tires with 57,000 on them, any ideas? Or is this just a miss measurement from mechanic? will have to go back and look at previous records and see what they read, I'm baffeled.

I have the Hankooks on mine and after 24K, I still have 9/32's of tread on all four tires. These POS tires are going to prove me wrong.
if this data was hand written by the tech there is a very good chance someone wrote a really bad 5 where the tails touch the rounded areas and it could have been read as an 8.
next senerio could be infamous fat finger. if someone used the number pad to input the data the 8 is directly above the 5
better question could be was the data verified by the owner to be correct?

Well Checked previous records and it appears my tires actually added rubber. The last visit was recorded all 4 at 5/32, so i'm thinking the tech needs training on measuring tires!! Was my thought any way!
