Rear 8.8 ring and pinion to front

I am going to be putting a 8.8 4.10 ring and pinion from an explorer in my expedition. My expedition has a 8.8 3.55. If I get another 8.8 4.10 rear ring and pinion from an explorer can i put it in the front independent suspension 8.8 that my expedition has? I kinda see why the limited slip differential would be different but I dont see why the ring and pinion would be.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Are you sure both the front and rear axles are both 8.8/3.55 setups to begin with?

Yes all 97+ f150 and expeditions have 8.8 in front. And front and back gears have to be the same. I think I found the answer tho. I think all front end ring and pinion's need to be reverse rotation.
