Help identifying carb

It's a Patent - says so on the carb.
Think its a Carter. They have trouble with the body screws loosening. There should be a number stamped on the mounting flange.

the round top piece is threaded internally for some odd reason also. It definitely doesn't look stock.
There doesn't seem to be much left of the gaskets especially where it mounts to the intake.
Is it supposed to have a little riser between the carb and the intake?
OK, after a little cleaning and looking I found it. Thanks guys
