Thanks redroad...your right, I am taking my time with this.
I did however, have a friend say he knows of some newer 18" Ford truck take off's...supposed to be real nice. Problem is, what the heck are the chances 18" wheels will fit on a 4X2 F250!!!!!

With the 18's as long as the tire you put on them doesn't exceed the diameter your currently are running then no problem .. Lifts on a 2wd with radius arms is involved so it comes down to what tires (diameter) will fit safely under your current suspension ..
Hmmmmm....I may have to start some measuring here; This sounds like it could be an idea if I can get these rims cheap enough. That will help when I have to find smaller size 18" tires when it comes time to buy too.

I'm done with that 16.5 size...it's just more hassel I was hoping not to have...and more now I have to buy to make the truck the way I want.
The 18" fell through already! I have been findind some OEM Ford wheel I like in newer styles...some 17" which I can deal with, otherwise I am going to look for 16" as I don't want to go to small.
Just my 2 cents but go 17" if you can. You of course know that 16.5 is dead but 16 is declining to and may have some fitment issues with brakes. 17 however is the new 15 popularity wise and will always fit over stock Ford brakes.
I think 17" will fit/look nice. I just have to find the right tires and make sure the backspace and offset are good. I have NEVER done a project like this before thats why I am asking for all this help...I don't want to buy things that don't work.
I am curious about buying OEM Ford wheels now. I really like the middle picture below. If I was to buy those and say a 235/85/16 tire does anyone think that they will fit okay????
I will study it now...I owe you some beers Redroad!
When I got my first ford truck , which is a long time ago, I had to ask every old timer in sight how to fix my stuff .. Just paying it all back .. So short answer you owe me nothing just glad I can help .. Just brings a smile to my face every time I think of those crusty old farts and all the help they gave me Now I've become one with some bandwidth ..
A safe bet is anything pre 1999 8 hole Ford will work for you no matter what the wheel dia.
