Greetings to all. I have a 86 F150 2WD C6 with the 300.I installed a double row radiator a couple of years ago after constant overheating and the ICM failing as soon as the engine got close to 200F. Prior to that, a water pump and a 160F thermostat. I replaced the heater core about 6 years ago, I replaced the 1BBL carb, starter, steering gearbox, power steering pump, all the brake lines, exhaust pipes caty converter, muffler and tail pipe.. Ball joints and all the steering arms. New Falken Tires 235/75R15 $650.00 Freeze plug also. So enough of the bio Here's my question: I cannot find a Fan Shroud and since I have a double row radiator do I need one? Constant operating temp is about 180 at the thermostat housing. A little tip to keep those pesky ICM's from shutting off the truck at the worst time is to monthly unbolt the ICM, clean the used Dielectric grease off the sur\aces and slather fresh grease on. I've been able to loose only one ICM in the past 8 months. Sorry it's a long post, but Id figure I'd answer all the usual questions up front.

If you went thru all the posts you would see that only trucks that have factory AC and maybe super cooling (it looked like SC could also not have a shroud?)
So if your truck dose not have factory AC then no shroud.
Also if you went thru the posts the radiators changed think 84 or 85 and how they bolt in.
The early ones the radiator drops into "C" cups at the bottom of the radiator support and then has 2 same type at the top that has 2 bolts each in to the support. Picture of my 81 300 six with factory AC & shroud.
The later years the radiators have tabs top * think bottom on the side of the tanks that bolts go thru into the support.
Sorry no picture of that.
I did not have a shroud when I got the truck but needed one because of factory AC.
If you look at LMC they ask for a part number off the old shroud so that was out of the question.
I did a lot of measuring and checking and I found a shroud I thought would work and was cheap so so I bought 2 so if I had to cut them to make 1 that would work I could.
As you can see it did not bolt right on, I had to trim a 1/4" off each side so the shroud would sit between the tanks and on the core.
The lower shroud fits into clips and the top uses 2 bolts as seen in the above picture.
I got the shroud from NPD and I can get the part number but know this is for the older radiator.
I dont know how the shrouds fir to the newer radiators.
It gets pretty warm here in NC, I am running the factory 190*f stat and the only time I see the temp gauge go up a little is if I sit for a long time with the AC on but as soon as I get moving it comes right down.
