Me and the wife went out and picked up a 2004 Limited..... mineral Grey with 137K miles. V-10. Very clean inside and out. Carfax shows only 3 owners and no accidents..... We just got back cruising it around. The diesel we were going to look at had a rebuilt/salvage title so we passed on that. Vehicle has a stainless steel muffler and a K+N air filter..... going to change the oil in an hour or so.... forgot to mention only paid 9K for it
Looks good, when I was shopping it was either the excursion or crewcab truck. I ended up with the crewcab f250 because of the use of the bed and really didnt need the third row seating. However sometime wish I would have go the excursion. You should enjoy it except the fuel mileage

Thanks. I know the fuel mileage is bad but I had a 2000 excursion 2 years ago.... first rule of thumb for me is you better be able to feed it if you want to own it....
I just purchased our second excursion "Limited". The first I bout was a 03 limited, I bout it in 2004 used and put 202,000 miles on it with no engine trouble what so ever however we had a few front end problems throughout the years. I told my wife I wanted the truck barred next to me when I died (thinking it would out last a 44 year old man). Unfortunately I rolled "The Best" in February and totaled it! I just bought our second Excursion Limited same color as yours with 106k miles.......and I too paid just under $10k. with original asking price at 13K. I had the truck inspected prior to the purchase and the ball joints were bad (as I expected without even test driving it since the truck was 2 hrs away). From our experience with the first one these big trucks seem to go through ball joints and other front items. I got the seller to pay for $1,200 in repairs (other repairs included) and was still able to talked him down to $9,800.
I love the Excursions and I hope you enjoy yours as much as I have mine!

Nice story Don..... I cant get your picture to open..... about 3 years ago I bought a 2000 Excursion, but it spent most of the time in the shop, ball joints and then exhaust manifold studs.... the heads had to come off the engine and new exhaust manifolds.... other problems popped up and after a year and only 2K put on the SUV I sold it. I tried an Expedtion but it couldnt pull.... so I traded it in then decided to buy an Excursion again. We are very happy with it! Looks and sounds great!
