Got my 1st Excursion

Well, after much researching and reading on this forum, I finally bought my 1st Excursion last week. I ended up going with a 2000 Limited 4X2 with the 7.3 PSD and 159,000 on the odometer. The company I work for has owned this Ex for the past several years and I was able to buy it for $6,500. Not bad considering it just had a new windshield plus water pump and belt replaced in the past couple of weeks. This truck will be used as a tow vehicle for my wife's horse trailer as well as a "beast of burden" as other tasks present themselves. Our other vehicles are paid for and this will be a great addition on the work front.

I'm glad to have found this forum of knowledgeable Excursion owners and look forward to learning and asking as the months and years go by. Included are a few pics of the beast freshly waxed after an oil and filter change. You'll notice I've removed the running boards as I think it looks better without and actually makes getting in and out of the truck so much easier!

(Don't know what happened to pic 5 - I guess my hands aren't very steady after waxing all day!)

Congrats on your purchase, I bought mine 1 month ago I got a 2000 black limited 4x4 v10 with 75,000 miles on it for 8,500.00 trust me it will be a long time before i replace mine and when I do if ever, it will be for a 2005 eddie bauer excursion probably a diesel too if I can afford it.

Congrats again, put the 2005 headlights and grille like I am starting to do, and then its the 2008 super-duty towing mirrors for me followed by a set of harley davidson 20" wheels.

Congrats on the purchase!

You might want to tho remove the cross members on the roof. They do scratch the surface up there. One of the first mods we do after purchase.
