broken hood badge stud

so today i picked up a 58 "i know, wrong forum" front hood badge. i ended up breaking the upper stud of flush with the badge. i was wondering if there is a way to fix this or install a new stud on the badge. i posted this question on the fridge forum but have yet to get a response. i thought maybe i would try here as there is way more traffic. my son Ryan thinks i'm gonna get bashed for posting this question so let the games begin. thanks in advance for any help. now he chimed in again and said the moderator is gonna move the thread. take the kid picking today and this is the way he treats me.

I've drilled a tiny hole and inserted hard steel rod then J•B Weld it all back together. Microsurgery, but not impossible.

I do believe many if not all badges to day are glued on.

yep, that's an option. Use two sided 3M tape. This tape is made for this type application.

Hey thunder I posted an answer to your questions on the bumpside forum!! Just kidding!
I agree with the above micro surgery. A little JB and dremel action should fix it right up. But a 58 badge on your 60 fridge will look a little odd.

It was mentioned earlier about using 3M body molding tape. That I thought was a good idea. Here is a link that describes the various ones 3M offers. Or check with your local auto parts stores.

There is a product out there made specifically for white metal repairs called "muggyweld" it can even be plated over.
Muggy Weld Super Alloy 1 Starter Kit - 7 x 18" x 3/32" Dia Rods + Flux - Welding Products - Restoration Aids - Caswell Inc

If you want to go with the double stick tape attachment and the emblem is hollow backed, it would be best to fill it flush with something like JB to give the tape enough surface area to hold onto.
