Steering correction options

I searched but did not find the answer. Could I use a skyjacker steering arm CA100 on my dana 44. It is listed for chevys. I measured my suburban arm and the studs are both 9/16. and the spacing is the same.

The current arm is tapered from the bottom and i would like it to be from the top. It would correct my last 2 inches plus i could eliminate the block at the same time.

Anyone ever tried this??

Thanks,
Chris

Sorry,

THe 44 is under the ford f250. I just have a chevy 10 bolt in the garage to compare it to.

I looked for specs on the skyjacker site but found none.

It is a 78 f250 dana 44 hp. I would like to find an arm that is tapered from the top.

I am wondering even if i can re-taper my arm or would the hole now be too large and the tie rod set too deep.

Does all of the 77-79 trucks have the taper from the bottom?

I have seen pictures of ones from the top, Are the arms from low-boy trucks?

I can't tell you if the Skyjacker arm will work or not, but i can tell you what arm will work...

An arm from a 76-77.5 F250, it's 2" taller than your 77.5-79 F250 arm (pic below) so you can eliminate your block.

All the 4x4 sites list that Skyjacker arm for Chevy, not Ford, what the difference with the arm is (they look the same to me) i couldn't tell you, but there must be one.

If you are just trying to be higher by being on top of your current set up you can see in the picture Montana provided the Highboy steering arm will get you a couple of inches higher..
