Trying to decide which truck to keep. Say they both had same miles and auto. I don't haul anything over 10000
Only reason it's hard is i like the 4 door, but i like the 4x4 on the other one. Bumper on the 4x4 is fixed. both are running driving truck's. both have new tran's and good running motor's now. Just wondering what other's think
John
Do you often haul people that would be frustrated having to crawl over the seats? If not my humble opinion would be to sell the dually.....there is a lot of fuel wasted spinning those extra wheels and tires if you don't need the towing/hauling ability. Also if you ever leave hard surfaces even a 4 wheel drive dually won't be as good as a non dually .....just my humble opinion
+1 Same thinking I would have. The dually looks really nice - nothing against the 250 - but it looks really clean. Plus it gives you a little more weight in case an OK twister comes around!!
Um, you don't crawl over the seats to get into the back of an EC. You flip/slide the front seat forward and step right in. It's a bit of a pain not having doors back there (even backward opening ones), and the full rear seat of a CC is more roomy for sure, but there's no "crawling".
Either will tow 10k, of course the CC will do it more easily. And you'd need mirrors/extensions on the EC.
Depends on your interests/needs:
Rear seat room - advantage CC
Towing - advantage CC
The "crawling" was meant to be a slight exaggeration.....sorry....I have a 97 ec.....even so for someone 6 foot and 250 pounds like me it does seem like crawling haha
if you really can't decide, then sell them both and buy a 94-97 f350 4wd srw crew cab and it convert it to a dually in a weekend with the money you have from both trucks.

The dually part don't bother me as much as the 4 door's. LOL all though i'll never ride in the back.it's just the room
I all most bought a 90 dually 4x4 with a 5 speed for 800 bux but i don't want to cut and weld the frame and it was a cab an chas truck so the rearend was worth less. over all they are close on condition except the the dually has a rebuilt motor with less than 10000 miles on it. EC motor has 150000
I just hate to turn one lose. maybe this guy will buy my 81 250 EC 4x4 and i'll keep both
John
Your the only one that can make the decision, How often do you need the four doors? How often would you need the 4x4? Some people would not have a truck that was not 4x4. I would keep the four door if it's a dually.
