"Knife-Edge" throttle plate
Has anyone ever heard of "Knife-Edging" the leading edge of the throttle plate for increased performance? Apparently it makes air flow more efficient.
I just heard about this and was wondering if it makes any sense to anyone here...

I don't know, but it doesn't make sense to me that it would be a measurable gain, unless the inside of the manifold, ports, etc. were polished to a mirror finish. We're talking such a little bit of turbulence that it would be hard to see in a smoke test (wind tunnel). If it did, would it translate to 1/100th of a hp? I wouldn't do it.
