Sometimes when I start my 89 f250 7.3 it raddled really bad like something's really lose. But as soon as I give it a little gas it goes away... Can't find anything lose. What mite this be???
Where does it sound like it's coming from? I've seen several trucks with 7.3 IDIs that have flywheels that chatter and need to be replaced. But those usually only chattered when you shut them off.
Can't find exactly where. Just the whole motor. Stops wen I give it gas. My buddy said it could be sucking in air do to a leaky injector cap... Thanks for replying to help. Nice to get other opinions
Are you setting the fast idle before you start it? You should press the accelerator down before you start it. I think the starting procedure is on the visor. IIRC, below 30 deg hold it at 1/2 throttle, when its really cold, full throttle.
