Is there a noid light available to use on PSD systems? I"m running 140 IDMs and don't know.
Could one be made?
Could one see any difference at that speed to see if wiring is correct?
Yeah, I have the Noid light set up for gas application but knew it would be fried on these voltages. Apparently the bulb won't know whether it is ac/dc voltage so I'm going to see if I can find a small "pilot" light type bulb to make one for grins.
I have another thread on here concerning the '95 truck passing a buzz and contribution test with a definite inj. knock sound and miss. I forgot this truck has "Networks" fleet AVL (gps) locator that is required by VDOT to plow snow. This tracking device plugs into my OBD Diagnostic. Port and may be causing if not the problem, at least the conflicting A/E test results. I simply forgot until this morning. The wiring is a ribbon looking wire harness with a new OBD port to plug into for diagnostic work.
We contacted the Network salesman and he said that owners of '95-'97 Fords have complained of this very problem(s). Thank you guys for taking a look and comments. I may have the problem solved, at least I have not pulled the inj. yet.
I wound up using a little pilot light ( drill 1/2 hole with two wires) from Radio Shack rated 120 volt. I just plugged it in. This particular truck has the 120 volt on it right now, not sure how long it will hold up on 140v, I can always put in my spare stock OBS. It did work, however the inj. had a broken hold down bolt. The A/E I have was all over the place first " pass " then showing codes.
