Procomp F250 springs on an Excursion - will they work?

I'm wondering if anyone has installed procomp springs on an Excursion that were designated for an F250 or if you think it would work.

There's a posting on Craigslist in my area for front and rear procomp springs. He's asking way to much but in CL typical fashion, people ask too much and come down a lot.

These are the same springs on Amazon. Any ideas if they will work? They are for a 99-07 F250.

I'm pretty sure I'd need some track bar bits and pieces and new shocks with this lift?

well the front springs can only be 99-04. they went to coil springs in 05. But from what ive read is that f250 springs fit fine on our X's.

I am certain the rears will fit because I have them on my truck. My fronts are 22210 so I can't speak to the front ones you have listed.

The most common set up for the Excursion is the Procomp 22210 for the front and 22415 for the rear..

Thank you Sammie! How much did the rear springs lift the rear? Appreciate your help!

3.5 inches but I have no block in at all, if you left the factory block then be more like 6-7 inches.

Thank you again Sammie. Did you have to replace shocks or mess with pitman arm or track bar?

From what I can tell on Procomp's website, the 22210 provides a 2" lift? Is that correct?

And the rear 22415 provides 4" of lift.

How does the math work out on that? You take out the factory rear blocks, which are 2 or are they 3"? And then add in the 22415 springs, and end up with approx 3.5" of lift. The X sits low in the front stock and the 22210 springs add 2" if Procomp's site is accurate.

So are you adding 3.5" to the rear with the 22415s and no blocks? And 2" to the front? That would seem to make the rake worse.

Maybe the 22210s add more lift than Procomp says?

Thanks everyone!

22210 on my front gave me very close to 4" of lift, mine was stock before and is a V10.

Pitman arm is the same and my track bar and steering linkage are dead parallel to eachother. They may say 2" but on my truck it was darn near 4". I sit now at 42 3/4" front and 43" rear - ground to lip. It has 16x8 rims with 285's on it. The key is no rear block, if you leave that in with this combination you are going to have a serious nose down rake.

Edit: and yes I do have longer shocks, no much but longer than stock. KYB Gas adjust shocks.

Height looks great on yours Sammie.

I'm guessing the 22610s are made to be used with the 22415s AND the rear blocks. That would seem to get somewhere near level and be around 6" higher.

Or the other option is to do what you did with the 22210s and the 22415s without blocks and be around 3 1/2" higher.

That's really helpful, thank you.

Now to decide if I want to grind this guy on Craigslist for his and roll the dice that I'll end up near level, 6" higher. Or scrap that idea and spend more money on new stuff for your setup and get a smaller lift.

Just in case anyone searches for something like this topic in the future, here is what Procomp said. Not sure I buy the front lift but ok:

"22610 (front leaf springs) will give you about 8.5" of lift The 22415 (rear leaf springs) will fit but will give you less then the 4" since excursion is heavier in the rear then the f250."

It seems that from folks like Sammie, if they had left the factory rear blocks in place and used the 22415 springs, they'd get 6-8 inches of lift in the rear, so I'm not sure what Procomp is saying. Seems like they were assuming the rear blocks were not to be used.

The amount of lift generated is in comparison to a stock F250. A stock F-250 sits approximately 2 inches taller than a stock excursion, so you will gain 2+ over what is listed on an Ex compared to a F250.

The piece about the Ex being heavier in the rear is a little BS... Because the spring rates of the F250 springs over Excursions springs is stiffer, which more than compensates for the additional rear weight of an Ex over an F250.

Hope this helps...

Thanks, I'm not sure what to think. I don't know why Procomp would say the 22415s only add 3.5" of lift with the stock blocks. According to Sammie, you get 3.5" of lift without the rear blocks. I've Procomp for clarification.

They did say they have not tested the 22610s on an Excursion but did say it would add 8.5" of lift...
