In my area it is worth about $8000. in excellent condition as an owner sale according to KBB.com.
Many owners think their vehicles are worth far more than they are.
189,000 could be alot of miles on that engine depending on how it was used and maintained.
In school bus duty they were mostly DEAD at 200,000 miles.
we had a 96 PSD and put in a new E4OD tranny at like 125000 and pulled horse trailers around till about 265000 then its now a plow truck and the tranny is decent at 272000 but it got totaled so the insurance company is gonna deal with that lol

Just a heads up. Book value means NOTHING on these trucks. They bring MORE money than the equivalent Superduty. They are in demand. If he does not come up with the money, the guy righ behind him will
I talked to him about salvaged title because I was curious about the paint looking so new and "unstockish" he said no salvage and had never been wrecked. I'm most likely heading out to look at it this weekend and probably buy it depending on how it looks. I'm not a complete dummy with these trucks and did a lot of work on my 95. I should be able to tell if there is anything major wrong with it. Thanks and keep it coming.
Most buyers have to finance a vehicle after a certain amount of money. Attempting to sell way above KBB is going to cause a financing issue for most buyers because most normal lenders use KBB or others to determine the relative value for the vehicle because the vehicle is the colateral for the loan.
Yea hes got it priced $8900 versus the $8400 KBB excellent condition here in Washington. I'm guessing hes not far off of a fair price considering the shape of the interior and overal condition. If I have to scrape out some extra dough and its worth it, I will.
The guys at PSDN say its well worth the cost as long as it is everything it looks to be in the pics. I'll plan on having it in my drive this weekend. Thanks for yalls help and I'll keep ya posted.
