My wifes 04 Aviator gives a check backup assist when in reverse. Checked fuse no problem. Searched threads with only one hit that was not any help.
ANY Ideas?

Have you asked your wife what she backed in to? It sounds like one or more of the sensors are either damaged or there's a wiring issue.

A professional scan tool can access the Parking Assist system to give a better idea of the issue, and if it's all sensors or a specific one.
