I have an 88 F150 2wd with coil springs on the front suspension. The front of the truck sits lower then the rear and i'm trying to level the truck. I've seen coil springs that are 2" longer than the stock springs, my question is, is this the only way to level my truck or is there another way? any help is greatly appreciated.
You could get leveling coils from skyjacker or superlift. You could also get spacers that go on the coils, but the best way is the springs at about 130-140 I think. Look at ntwonline.com, good place to buy things. Also, you will need an alignment after.

3 spd column shifter. Weighs around 7,000lbs w. 65mph top speed, who wants to race me!
Nope not nessesary, only needed with anything above 2". 2-4" lift shocks might be needed. The lift companies say you don't need it, but a guy "rbrendel" on here, said that he put those coils in and the shocks broke from being to short. Front shocks are cheap, I liked the RS 5000 rancho shocks i have...2-4" lift.

hey man. I know they aren't that great looking but i would strongly recommend the coil spring spacers. they are like 4 bucks a set and you may not need to get your truck re-aligned. i have them on my 93
f-150 4x4 xtended cab, it is leveled out nicely i painted mine and they don't stand out as bad. i wish i had a pic to show you. they are also very easy to install. i sport a 6" skyjacker lift and 35" boggers coming soon!! hope i could help.

Anytime you lift a vehicle you change the suspension angles, and need it to be aligned. The cheap way is the spacers, but the best is the coils.

I would go with the leveling coils, HD coils, or the bottom spacers, but not the cheap and questionable top-spacers. I also agree that and alignment is a must - and that may include the added price of 2.5 degree alignment bushings (about $40 to $50 per set when new).
Since I've just been through this to some degree, I will list some recent discussions for ya. They may or may not help. By the way, what engine, cab, bed, and goodies are you trying to lift?
