Newbie to FTE Ned some help
1994 F150 5l 6 cyl
No crank no start condition.
Replaced starter, battery, fender solenoid.
Turn key and hear a single thud like juice to starter but no crank
Truck was sitting for a month but used it for two hrs prior to issue. It was hard start the last year but always cranked?
Thanks for expertise!
The big one on the bottom is the crankshaft pulley. If that turns the engine is turning. I don't know what size socket you need (15/16"?), but usually it does need to be deep well, and you'll want 1/2" drive. There is a bolt head in the center of that pulley. There may be other smaller ones around it. Find a socket thats fits the one in the center and try to turn it. You may have to lay under the truck and access it from below.
Try turning it clockwise first, if it won't go that way and it will the other it could be hydro locked. You may even be able to grab the belt and pull to see if the crank pulley moves. The socket is best though.
Still getting clicking sound.
I have new battery in truck and starter and solenoid
Maybe not enough juice to starter or something else is frozen on s belt.
Really lost now

If the clicking sound is coming from the starter relay on the fender you may have a bad spade connector down on the starter solenoid.
The starter solenoid is mounted on top of the starter and not on the fender.
Try cutting back an inch of wire and crimp on a new spade connector.
Turned out the parts I threw on it were just fine - Bad negative terminal connector to battery. Cleaned it in a cup of water and baking soda. Truck cranked right over. I will replace both connectors but truck running just fine.
