2012 E 350 towing package information needed.
harness to install the trailer electrical hookup (7 pin). I think the harness is
back to the area of the rear axle because there are connectors there that seem to be capped off. Also I'm interested in the brake controller that the factory installs as an option.
I recommend taking it to a shop. You will also want to upgrade the auxiliary transmission cooler (replace it, do not string a second one in) unless you vehicle was specced with the heavy duty trans cooler option.
harness for the vans but I've found that they certainly do. Yep, there's
no B+ or trailer wiring to the back. I'm going to remove part of the harness
from my "retired" 2003 E150 which had the factory package. I'll graft that harness into the E350.
If you have no tow, I normally tell people to get a 't-harness.' They come with relay/modulator boxes so you don't pop fuses quite so easily and no need to make crappy splices in your taillights.
Custom Fit Vehicle Wiring for 2012 Ford Van - Tow Ready 118551
Since you are already gonna have to run battery+ to the back of the van for the 7-pin trailer, this little box is a nice addition. Add on this plug kit which includes all the wire for b+ and brake, and you are pretty much there.
