I spent all afternoon replacing plug wires on my 292. What should have been a tedious job was made a chore because rubber wire holders from Dennis Carpenters were too large for the brackets. They required large Channel Locks to compress them enough to get a bolt through them. I gave up on the passenger sided bracket and bolted one end to the block and rapped it around the rubber holder.
Are they always this hard or did I get a bad set?
The truck starts and runs better. Tomorrow I will try to get the spark plug out. The are frozen. I am going to warm up the engine put the truck on jack stands and see it I can brake them loose from the bottom.
