My 2012 f350 won't run the auxiliary lights inside my horse trailer. I've checked the fuses and run a test light on the hot wire out of the plug on the pickup and I've still got nothing. Anybody have a solution? Thanks

I remember my 06 and 08 F150 needed a fuse to be installed in the under hood fuse box to activate that. Have u checked there?
I believe that there is both a fuse or two and a relay for that particular terminal.... Look in the fuse section for anything labeled "trailer tow battery charge"
Mine will work on acc switch on ignition as well, not engine running. I also had to put a fuse into the proper location of fuse box in engine bay. It did not come with one from factory, even though it had factory tow package.
My 96 and now my 03 the ignition has to be to the run position to have power at the wire. It even says that in the owners manual. Have you read your owners manual?
A must read for all vehicle owners ! You can get some good info from them . Not as good as the once were . My 73 VW even had engine specs listed in the manual . Valve lash , point gap , adjustment procedures for many items . But , you can still learn a lot !
As long as one person with internet reads the manual the rest of us can slide. Sorry for the hijacked thread and thanks for the information you saved me some page turning too.

That is true! I sort of miss the old manuals that had torque specs, parts explosions and part numbers, and whatnot. It wasn't just a manual, it was a blueprint of the vehicle.

Tell me , now they explain how to use the radio , child restraint tie downs , They try to tell you how to use the complex navi systems . Oh , and if ( insert here ) light comes on , take it to the nearest dealer . The owners manual for my 53 Pontiac is much better than my Mounty . In my opinion . With my Ferguson manual I can almost rebuild it ! They ( the powers that be ) do not want everyone working on their autos . That is why it cost s a few grand each year for my shop to keep the equipment up to date !
I have a manual for an old hand crank to start wisconsin motor (water pump) that has absolutely everything in it including a phone number for ordering new parts. It has it all from torque numbers for the connecting rods to how to grind the piston rings to get the right gap.
Now they tell you how to start the car and put it in gear. Everything else "See the dealer".
2012 F150 Trailer running light fuse #77 on your fuse panel under the hood. It is a 1/2 square 20amp... make sure you use your owners manual to find the location. It pulls straight up to remove it...Good Luck
