Look along the inner edges of the front fenders and you should find tags that have the VIN imprinted on them. The tags will destroy if you try to remove them. They are on a buncha parts, including the hood. Inspect the underside of the hood for a similar tag. If you find one, and the imprinted VIN matches, then figure either they are saving paint costs {VERY possible} or some robot got lazy or ran out when spraying yours.... I believe all the doors, the fenders, and the liftgate should have the VIN tags.

Ive never had a car with that unless it was replaced. I wouldnt worry about it. Sounds like a basic repaint. Theres no point of wasting time and paint on the underside of the hood
Anyone else?
New hood getting painted next week
BTW bought a new hood off eBay for 262.00 delivered will report back
on fit.... Minor damage shipping by FedEx ground
Good luck getting FedEx to pay for the repair. They will send out an inspector, take pictures, complain that your cost for repair is too high, and maybe some time in the future issue a check. Maybe. Are you sure it was damaged by FedEx? They'll want proof it wasn't damaged when put in the box.
Did you notice the VIN decals on the fenders? On the underside of the hood? Just wondering if FoMoCo decided not to paint the underside at the factory or it was replaced by the low-bidder body shop....
