Big dirty is in the shop, and she is gettin studded, deleted, injected, and filters and fluids and the whole 9 yards. Anyone else done all this yet? Im building the hype, cuz i have heard that i will never have any problems that it will be virtually bulletproof. Im just excited to have a good running powerstroke. Ive heard it will be like a brand new truck when i get it back.

Well if my heads are good, around 5500. If my heads need replaced, worst case scenario, about 6300. Now both amill, and mustang, you both have that you have the blue spring upgrade, so what exactly is that upgrade?
X2 what Amill said. It will raise the fuel pressure around 10 PSI and the extra pressure is just added protection for your injectors as low fuel pressure will damage the injectors.

The best price you can get on each cylinder head is about $1,000 (new or reman). It includes head gaskets in the box. If you get new heads you'll be able to delete the price of the gaskets from your $5,500 (about $150 x 2=$300).
So $5,500 + ($1,000 x 2) - ($150 x 2) = $7,200.
The above is based on some of the lower end of pricing, internet, good pricing from local dealer, etc.
If they're going to charge you full MSRP you'd be looking at:
$5,500 + ($1,452 x 2) - ($190 x 2) = $8,024.
Just an FYI. I went through this myself recently. When the heads failed the magnaflux test it was a kick in the pants as I thought I had 100% of the money set aside. It ate into my tunes fund
My 350 got the full treatment about 5 years ago and I have pounded on it since then from double max payload to the horneyest hot tune you could imagine. This motor is awesome once you understand what our dealing with.
