Jaime, you have the OBD-I Diagnostic System on your truck..
An Equus 3145 code reader is only $35 at the parts store....OBD-II and OBD-I do NOT interchange Diagnostic Testers
Ok thats what I figured, and as for what the Ford guy told me I kinda had a feeling he was a bit....off....
Wes, I do have a code reader, I forget the type but it is a more expencive unit that can work both OBD1 and OBD2 vehicles, so I do have one, and it works well, just need to learn to do the test on the truck properly...
as for the definition of "CAN" I always knew it as "Computer Area Network" but I do appoligize if I have been calling it the wrong name in error, I will read up more on CAN to ensure I understand it better!!
so to ensure I am understanding things correctly I can use the bulbs for "SCK" and they should work fine in my truck.
