road force balancing

I have terrible vibrations at anywheres from 45, 55, 70 mph. Had 2 u joints replaced , tires balanced, rotated, with no luck. Now it seems since the tires were new at over a year ago it has been worse. I have a appt to have them road force balanced and am praying it helps before i have to take the driveshaft to get checked out. Anyone have luck with the road force vs. regular balancing?

Yes, a Hunter GSP9700 Road Force Balancer has solved a lot of issue. It may solve your issues, it the tires are to blame.

Does it go away when you let off the gas? Lifted or stock height? Does the vibration change with weight in the bed? I just went through this issue myself and it turned out I needed to drop my carrier bearing 1/2".

road force will help with finding tires that have higher road force and possibly elimination it or limiting its effect by rotating the tire on the rim or swapping tires with a different rim. it should also tell you if the issue is with the rim or tire. and finally the machine will suggest where to place the tires on the vehicle that will cause the least amount of tire pull and or vibration more than just balancing the tires.

No it doesn't go away when off the throttle totally, stock truck no lift or anything, stock rims, nothing but stock tire size as well. I had 2 u joint that were totally dried up and sqeaking replaced with spicer greaseable joints and was told carrier bearing seems ok. I was stuck deep in sand and mud last year pulling a boat & trailer out of a lake not at a actual boat launch and wondered if i may have knocked any weights off of driveshaft.Thank you for all the great replys.

I had the tires on a Jeep Wrangler force balanced and it helped some, made it drivable. The vibration was not eliminated 'til I installed new tires. Try balancing beads, they corrected the vibrations on my old F350. I could feel the lateral vibration at road speed and repeat balancing did not correct the problem so I went to the beads. No more problems on the F350.
