I have a 1993 F250 Heavy Duty 460cid 4X4 and my front body bushings seem to be squeeking a lot. I am pretty sure it is the bushings (the same ones you replace when doing a body life).
I use to be able to put penetrating oil on them and have them stop squeeking but this doesn't work anymore. Any ideas on how to make it stop. The only suggestion I got from a body shop was to weld the body down, and my answer to that one was of course no way.
just try tightening the bolt(s)!! If it has shoulder bolts, just put a thick washer under the head end of the bolt, to give more tightening room. Or if you can get the bushings out, put some chassis grease around the contact areas, or even better, maybe bushing replacement is needed......
You also might try cleaning all that oil based lube you sparayed at them and replace it with a graphite lube. THe black bushings from enery suspensions are coceed G 'cos of their graphite content redering 'em 'squeekless'.
Cheers
