All mig. .023 solid wire. Lowest setting to bridge gaps, weld edges and delicate areas. Next lowest setting for plug welds, strings and tight butt welds. could use tig on some areas, but that wouldn't be good outside with a breeze, and mig works great for everything.

I am by no means a "fridge" expert, but I thought those braces were only used on 4X4's? Or was it used on the larger trucks as well and just the 2wd pickups didn't have them?

Skipping to the bed extension panels to get it out of the way and on the truck. Panels will stay separate and bolt to the front of the bed. Opening between cab and bed will allow an exhaust stack to pass through without being inside the bed itself.
Another front bed section will be grafted on to close off the sharp ends of the extensions to make a clean looking return.
More parts are out for chrome and powdercoat. The last chrome shop in north Hollywood lost more than a few parts, trying a new shop.

Yeah I like the idea, never seen it done this way so here we go.
I do not recommend Astro chrome and polishing in North Hollywood.
Thank you for the kind words. It's hard to keep several builds going, and can't cut corners on anything.
more parts out for media blasting soon...
