Ok. i bought the Rough Country Leveling kit with the 2.5" front and 1" rear. They say that it will fit 35" tires without trimming anything. Has anyone else done this to their truck and do the 35" tires fit?
I dont want to buy a set of tires and find out that i have to trim stuff.
I have a 2" AutoSpring with 3" rear block (~1.5" rear lift) and run a 295/70-18 Nitto Terra Grappler which measures 34.4"x 11.4" wide on stock 18" rims, no issues. Pics in my garage
I made a cardboard cutout of a 35" tire and put it behind my existing tire and turned the wheels. With stock rims the 35" tires will not make it. Now i have another question. How do offsets work with rims? Is a stock rim 0 offset?
I ran a 35/12.5/20 on my stock 2009 fx4 rims with minor rubbing. I had a 2" daystar level kit. Had to barely trim the front plastic valence. And the side lugs on those tires rubbed the upper balljoint housing sometimes when it would flex. It was like that for 90k miles and never caused any problems. Mudgrapplers are a really aggressive tread and have big side lugs too. If you go with a less aggressive tire you shouldnt have any problems.
