35in tires on stock rim

I have a 2016 f250 xl model, and was wondering if I could put 35in tires on them or if I will have to upgrade rim. I am thinking I will have to level the front to get the 35's to go. Anyone with experience? Thanks.

I am running them on stock 20" wheels with a 2" leveling kit and a lifted 2" more in the rear. The only rubbing I have is when I am in a tight turn.

That is what I was thinking about the lift. Unfortunately I only have 17 in rims.

That means you only have 7.5" wide rims, so can you mount them, yes. But the tire may wear in the center quickly. The 20" wheels are 8" wide, and technically to narrow(should be 8.5"), but a lot of people get away with it with no problems. You could consider a 285/75r17 which is about a 34x11.50.

To avoid new wheels and a leveling kit go with 295/70/17/s or like Ron said the 285/75/17 which are a little taller. You won't have any rubbing issues with these sizes.

I have a 2014 F250 XLT that I'm running 315/70/r17 tires on factory aluminum wheels. My truck sits absolutely level from the factory, and I have no problems with rubbing at all, lock-to-lock.

Ron94150, I have about 20,000 miles on them now. They are wearing fairly evenly. I will be rotating my tires this weekend since my truck seems to like eating front tires. Then again, I have the diesel, which adds a lot of weight up front. The tires are Falken Wild Peak AT tires. I highly recommend them.

I'm guessing by 30k, the centers will be obviously worn more than the out edge.

i have 315/75/16's (essentially a 35x12.50x16) on my stock 2004 dually wheels. the wheels could be a little wider, but they work.

This is a 37x13.50x20 on a factory 20x8 wheel. It has 38k miles on it and has been siped down the middle for the last 5k miles (it has about as much tread left as the factory unused spare next to it). It has worn much more even than I thought it would. I run low pressure unloaded and raise the pressure when I tow my 5th wheel. I'm sure it would wear better on a wider wheel, but I've been pretty pleased. I've never understood why Toyo's minimum recommended wheel width for the 37x12.50x20 and 37x13.50x20 Toyo RT are both 8.5". Seemed weird to me.
