I'm back after a few days away and it is starting to get warm again in Ohio and my trusty Bronco is acting up. When I accelarate my exaust sounds funny like there is a metal plate on top of the cat rattling but I don't think there are any leaks, its only 2 years old. Any Thoughts on what it could be?
try bouncing the bronco up and down or shaking the exaust(when cooled) with you hands, to see if you hear any noises...still might not hear it but it still might be something loose and/or rubbing
It only occurs when the engine is under load. i.e in gear and accelarating. when in nuetral or park and i rev the engine it does it a little but hardly at all.
I had that happen to me, the top to rivits had rusted out of the cat sheild, i just bought two 1/4" nuts bolts and lock wahsers and bolted it back together, i took like 20 min to fix
