If you have a 77 F150 4x4 then you have neither a highboy or a lowboy! Those terms are in regards to the F250 4x4's of which there was a platform change in 77. The F250 4x4's have a leaf spring front suspension and the F150 4x4's use a coil spring front suspension.
Don't forget about longer flexible brake lines also.
It is possible to relocate the rear hose mount but I just went ahead an upgraded to a 5-inch longer stainless wrapped hose from JBG. The front length was OK on my 73 even at full droop.
Definitely on the rear.
The first truck when I was 18, I just released the clip that holds the end of the steel line. Thus allowing the steel line to slide through the mount hole and hang down closer to the axle. Don't do it that way. It will wear through the line and leak. I'm a red neck, but that is just asking for more trouble. I don't think I did anything with the front.
My current truck I bought the stainless braided 4" longer hoses from Inline Tube. Works good and looks great.

Which length did you buy? I am in the process of installing a 4" rough country lift...
Not to thread jack but I need some help with my 76 F-100 4wd lift...I got the C-bushing and coil springs installed and according to rough country I don't need to have a drop pitman arm... my question/problem is the drivers side tire looks pointed in...I assume that's from the larger/taller spring installation. Can the tie rod end be adjusted out to fix this or do I need a longer tie rod? Any help would be appreciated...
