I've got a '84 bronco II, 2.8l, v6, 4x4. Had some slight problems with stalls( very sporadic). Then one big stall and haven't been able to get it going. I've changed the fuel filter, fuel pump, and pcv valve. I do have spark. before and after the pump was changed I was not getting any fuel out of the fuel line into the carbureator. My thoughts were possibly the fuel shutoff. but I can't seem to locate it. It is supposed to be under the dash on passenger side, but unless it is under 2 feet of carpet it just isn't there. Help! and thanks
The fuel shutoff switch is located on the passanger side beside the hump. You have to peel the carpet back just a little bit to locate the switch. Then push the reset button
1947 ford person is right!!..just peel the carpet back as close to the hump on the passenger floor board where there toes would be...you'll see a little black box with a white T shaped thing sticking up..push it back down..if that does'nt make it all better..get a new brain..wich is hiding behind the kickwall just to the right of that..where a speaker looks like it might fit...kinda where..if you were the pasenger and were tapping yer foot to the right.on that piece of plastic...thats where the brain is hiding..i say all this because mine did the same thing and when i replaced the brain..BAM!!..it all worked great..brain is about...115.00$....good luck!!
I had my fuel shutoff relay act up once. Turns out the plug was melted from being on the hot firewall. I cleaned the connections and it took care of that problem.
