my 1980 Ford F100 Custom (302 V8) is starting to leak oil! Im not sure why so im here to ask you guys. It seams to blow oil out the exhaust pipe when you start the car and it does it while it warms up ... although after its warmed up it stops. Why could this be happening? What can i do to stop the from occuring? What needs to be fixed? i put a yellow rag down and turned the truck on so you could see how much oil it spit out onto the cloth.. pics are seen below..
jiuxo,
Looks kinda nasty doesn't it, does your truck puff a little smoke when you first start it?, if it does you may want to replace your valve stem seals....The picture to me looks like condensation (moisture) in your pipes and if your seals are leaking alittle the oil and moisture mixed together, well you can see from the rag. That's why it stops when it warms up, the exhaust system is hot then and all condensation is gone...And it is possible you may have a rich mixture turning the exhaust black, and it and moisture together will leave a mess as this...Just a tought from this end, Good Luck on what ever the problem maybe, hope nothing major.....keep us posted.....
