I have a problem with the four wheel drive I have changed the the vacuum modules on the fire wall and the actuator on the front diff is there a way to adjust the four wheel drive linkage?
Joe, refer to one of the other posts for 4x4 operation.
There is no linkage of any consequence to adjust except on the floor assembly.
The only difference is either dash control or floor control.
Which do you have and how is it acting?
Unless you know how it works, changing parts is not the way just trying to get lucky.
It cost you time, money and frustration.
It's much better to troublshoot, repair whats broke and feel good afterwards.
Good luck.
It seems like it is not fully engaging fully it not clinking or slipping I think I need to adjust the linkage so is there any way to do that? Since I have replaced everything else that needed to be and the tail shaft on the transfer case is leaking I will be replacing that soon so any info would be helpful!
What does 'fully engaging' mean.
There is no in between, to it.
It is or it is not!.
The problem with trying to help is you won't give any accurate or solid info to go on.
It's like going the the doctor and tellig him you hurt 'some place'.
He will ask you where!.
Good luck.
The second drive shaft turns but it will not pull me out if a ditch I put the 4x4 shifter in neutral and the truck will still moves when i put my truck in 1st gear and it not supposed to
