Stock speaker question
What sizes are stock speakers on 1980 F100 door and center dash? Best info I could find was the door speakers are 5 ¼ but want to double check. Want to upgrade mine and taking off the door panels next week so thought id kill two birds with one stone. Thanks

5 1/4 will fit. 6 inch will fit, and 6 1/2 inch will fit. They make the holes on the new speakers so the 6 1/2's will the old 5 1/4 holes in the door. The holes on the 5 1/4 speakers are way out near the edge of the metal on the speaker, and the holes on the 6 1/2 are very near the foam on the speaker.

If you are going to be installing a stereo, the dash speaker is not used.
Dash speaker was only used for Factory Mono AM or Mono AM-FM, or CB radio
Door Speakers were used for Factory Stereo AM/FM radios/Cassette Tape and Stereo 8 Track
