Borg-Warner Overdrive Swap?
A friend of mine has an old over drive tranny from a 1950 Lincoln. Does anyone know if this is swappable into my 64 F100? I currently have a manual 3 speed with a 223 inline 6.
If it is swappable... what changes do I have to make?

1949/51 Lincoln/Cosmopolitan came with a 337 cid flathead V8. This Warner T-85 O/D trans will not bolt to a 223 and all the related O/D electrical parts (relay/governor/solenoid/kickdown switch/wiring harness) are 6 volt.
1954/64 F100 223's were available with the Warner T-86 O/D trans.
