Heavy steering

1-My Ex steering is very heavy and some times kicking , I don't have any fluid leaks , and my steering shock looks nice and clean, I did check and lubricate the ball joints .

2- how did the big 3 wire upgrade in v10 , please I need some pictures for grounding wires locations like engine to body , battery to body, chassis to body . Because I got a new 300 amp alternator to juicing my truck stuff and to power up the 3000w power inverter.

3- the engine exhaust fumes is so strong making my eyes burning ← . What I did is new coils pack, spark plugs, air filter, fuel filter , cleaned the injectors , checked the exhaust for leaks, cleaned the throttle.
But it's no different, I had this problem sense Day1 .

1. Heavy? As in it's hard to turn and/or you are locking and bucking at full turns?

2. No idea what you are asking and I read it three times. What is the big 3 wire upgrade exactly?

3. Check your manifold not your exhaust pipes, you probably have a leaking manifold which is just under the driver and passenger seats, and if you have a major leak there you are going to get fumes sucked into the cabin more so than you are going to notice further back in the exhaust. Check both sides top and bottom for broken studs and for black soot.

1- Heavy as it's hard to turn .
2- big 3 upgrade is upgrading your factory power and ground wires by adding additional big wires . Like from the alternator to the battery , battery to ground, engine to ground.
3- the fumes is coming from the tail pipe , people stops in red light near me roles up their windows. Really very bad

If you have wide tires and are not moving with your foot on the brake, will cause heavy/hard steering. The power steering provides the force for h power brakes, so the brakes rob power from steering. If it gets easier when you let off your brakes and start rolling, tis is what it is.

Don't know anything about the wiring.

Fumes that are really bad, sounds like an O2 sensor or a cat converter. Also if you get the ethanol blend fuel can cause smells too.

Good luck and welcome!

I have the normal size tires , I don't have lift or any suspension modes.
So about the o2 sensor, I don't have a code and am running 95 premium fuel also my truck does not have a cat converter or it appears like I don't have one .

Steering I would be looking at your power steering fluid, is it low, has it been flushed and changed? If not get that done.

Smell you don't need to be running premium gas in fact I believe that can hurt these engines, but I'm sure others will chime in as I am not well versed on the fuel and exhaust systems in these trucks. But at the very least I can tell you running premium gas is just wasting your money. If you have no CAT the exhaust has been modified in some way and I would bet that and the premium fuel is causing your smell.

Fluid is full but I didn't flash it , actually I didn't no that I have to flush the steering fluid
How do I do that .

And am the second owner since 06 with 12k miles when I got it , and the previous owner didn't actually do any thing even the factory tires , factory engine oil , factory transmission oil ....etc
So no mode and the gas called 95 octane. I used it because when I use 91 octane the engine starts knocking.

Check the color/smell of your PS fluid. My steering was scary kicking all over the place and when I checked the fluid, it smelt really burnt and it was the color and consistency of mud... I also changed my PS pump so the flush was kind of easy since the ATF was coming out one way or the other.

Check the forums, I know I've seen a writeup about flushing the fluid.

Curious to know what you find out about the smell. I run 87/no tune and mine smells really strong also...

Premium gas won't hurt your truck... but having no CAT will make it really stinky, I chopped the CAT off on my truck and the exhaust rolling out of the tail pipe could easily choke a rhino, I sort of like the way it smells, 'Merica.
