Okay - truck is having issues with leaking gas through the exhaust. I've gotten that sorted out I think. But, when my father in law was looking at it last week, it wouldn't start. I replaced the ignition switch as part of the fuel issue troubleshooting and that didn't fix it.
Tried today putting it in neutral and it cranked fine. When it's in park, the accessories, lights, etc. work fine but it won't even try to start. Won't crank or anything. In neutral, it cranks. What should I be looking at? I assume there's some type of safety interlock that thinks it's in a gear when it's in park?
My wifes 2000 explorer has this same issue. After some digging it seems to be a issue with that body style. As far as your is concerned, assuming is the f-250 in your "garage", then i would make sure that the park safety switch isnt jammed up or have anything thats keep if from truly going into park. I had a similar experience with my 90' F150, and it turned out that a piece of pot-metal that had broken loose and found its way in the way or going into park. Good Luck!

Where is the park safety switch? I'll check that and those screws and MLPS. All sound likely. Yes, it's the 250 in my 'garage'.
