Okay, now I'm confused. I get that you replaced the cold side CAC tube, but still have an ongoing issue with a massive air leak by what you describe. Did you line the y-pipe into the turbo properly when you re-installed it after the work you did?
Yes replaced the plastic pipe that comes from under air cleaner to intake? If I stand next to drivers side of truck and my boy revs truck to 2500-3000 and lets off I hear a rumbling air type sound coming from that side of cooler. When i did all work the y pipie did seat properly as had trouble getting clamp to fit securely until it snapped into place so to speak.
So if I understood correctly, this was not a pre-existing concern. This issue has happened since the work, correct? Is there any way you can upload a video clip of the sound you describe?

Ill have my boy help me tomm with vid, yes truck has been great since hpop o ring repair, other than cold blooded. Stopped for school bus took off heard a blunt pop and power died and black smoke with hissing. Hissing gone now since pipe replaced. Thanks
Okay guys pulled egr, not really that bad, not wet. Cleaned and re installed. No difference still sounds like internal air rumbling at outlet of cooler, like its blocked from getting to motor, not an external leaking sound. Very little rise in boost press, even when revved to 2000-2500. idk just trying give as much info as possible. Tryed a test drive, no power, black smoke, turbo looked fine spun free when i changed cac tube, and its only 1-1/2 years old.
