Codes, 1995 Explorer XLT

In addition to having codes listed for F-Series, my '97 Factory Ford service CD lists the '97 F-150 axle codes as:
18 — 3.08.
19 — 3.55.
26 — 3.73.
27 — 3.31.
H9 — 3.55 Limited slip.
B6 — 3.73 Limited Slip.

'97 Expedition is:
16 — 3.73. — H6 — 3.73 Limited slip.
17 — 3.31. — H7 — 3.31 Limited slip.
19 — 3.55.
19 — 3.55 — H9 — 3.55 Limited slip

A code 45 is not used on the F-150. When it is used on the F-250/350 & SuperDuty it stands for a 4.10, 7400 lb. axle. This would be massive overkill in the Explorer since all of the Explorer's axles are 3200 lbs.

'95 - '00 Explorer codes are (not all codes are used all years):
41 - Conventional - 3200 - 3.27
D1 - Limited Slip - 3200 - 3.27
45 - Conventional - 3200 - 3.55
46 - Conventional - 3200 - 3.73
D4 - Limited Slip - 3200 - 3.73
42 - Conventional - 3200 - 4.10
D2 - Limited Slip - 3200 -4.10
