Pulling turbo- what else

I will be pulling my turbo to put in a WW2. Planning on plenum reinforcing inserts while I'm at it. Anything else I should think about doing while it's apart?

Bellowed uppipes??

If you have never pulled the turbo and have factory uppipes I would just pull the compressor housing and remove the wheel with an impact.

If you pull the turbo you could let the uppipes move and develop a leak.

Also you got pedistal o-rings right? Need new ones if you pull it.

And if you pull it ford went to a longer t-bolt on the uppipe clamp so a new one is so much easier to attach instead of fighting the original.

My pedestal o-rings are leaking so it needs to come off. I'm hoping not to disturb the uppies to much, I have no leaks now.

I'm planning on changing my wheel soon, when I have the turbo off I'm also planning new rebuild kit for the turbo and installing the HPX from Riff Raff. I figure it will be easier without the turbo and ICPs in the way for the HPX.

After you are done let us know how the WW2 works.. I'm still undecided on which one I want to go with....The Billet wheel from Riff Raff or WW2..
