egt guage?
plannin on puttin a guage pod in i know i need a egt guage just dont know which one is the best to get and how does a guy put it in. i turned up pump 2 flats and it seems like the warmer it gets outside the more she smokes so im wantin to get one put in by the way its an 84 f350

Warmer air= less dense = less oxygen = less fuel burned= more smoke etc etc.
There are a multitude of gauges out there, pick one that tickles your fancy for looks or price and toss it in. Glowshifts seem to be popular, reliable and cheap. I myself am going for Isspro's EV2 factory match gauges with programmable idiot light.
As far as intalation, you will need to pull an exhaust manifold and drill / tap it for pipe thread for the thermocouple to thread into. From there route your tubing or wiring into the cab and install the guage.
