New 2013 F150 FX4 CrewCab owner

Hello everyone I am new to the Ford line up and to the 4x4 world....always been in the European sports car kinda of guy. Bought my first truck last Friday its a 2013 Black F150 FX4 CrewCab.......all I can say is that Im in love and glad I went this route.

I have a couple of questions:

1. What upgrades void the warranty - only thing I am looking for is exhaust, rims/tires, and lift kit or leveling kit
2. What is a good rims/tires sizes
3. Looking for maybe 2"-3" lift (ideas, pics, brand)
3. Tips/tricks for the Sync
4. Exhaust ideas (nothing loud or rasspy...nice growl)

Any other ideas, tips/tricks, or suggestions would be great.

Thanks,
Jeff

First off welcome to the forum!

You can do those upgrades you listed without voiding your warranty. People also put tuners on their trucks...and when that would void your warranty is when you have an issue with the truck and they deemed it cause by your tuner. (I.E. a fried cat, or ignition issue)

Exhaust:

Some like the Roush and some like the Heartthrob...personally I like the sound of the heartthrob best so far. I don't have my truck yet but I have been listening to them online and liked that one the best. Sorry I can't help you on the lift questions.

Welcome to Ford Trucks; You'll appreciate your truck more each day.
1. 2" Level Kit; many good brands, I have the Readylift
2. 20" Nitto Terra Grapplers 305/55/20 The 55's are taller and are a 8 Ply tire vs. 4 Ply, so they will have a stiffer ride, however, IMO, not much to worry about.
I put Fuel Off Road Wheels; Krank #517 20X9 (10" are on national backorder)
3. I'm still learning my Sync, so far I like most of it; but have no tips to help..lol
4. Exhaust? 5.0: I had a Magnaflow #12198 installed; replaced the OEM Resonator with a Dynomax Race Bullet. Nice deep sound; I'll probably add another Dynomax to get rid of some drone at 70 mph/2100 rpm. Also had 3.5" Dual exhausts tips added. The Magnaflow is a single in/dual out muffler.
EcoBoost? Not the easiest motor to get deep growl. EB owners would know best.

Here's a couple of pics.

Best person to ask would be in your service department.
2. What is a good rims/tires sizes
I've always liked BFGoodrich all terrains
3. Looking for maybe 2"-3" lift (ideas, pics, brand)
Readylift and Rancho among others
3. Tips/tricks for the Sync
This depends on what your phone is capable of as well (MAP for text messaging comes to mind-not all phones have it)
4. Exhaust ideas (nothing loud or rasspy...nice growl)
Keep in mind an Ecoboost is a V6 turbo motor, your gonna want to hear some options, starting with PrinceVall's

Mangaflow is usually not overly loud for exhausts.

i'll add MBRP as one worth of putting on an ecoboost.

https://www.youtube-nocookie.com/embed/95qd0zx51Sg

doesn't appear to have much drone on the inside
F150 Ecoboost with MBRP 3" cat back towing - YouTube

not sure if you have the EB or the 5.0, but i think the MBRP has a nice sound.

Congrats on the truck. I have about 8000km on mine. 13 fx4 Eco boost. I recently added a bully dog intake, mbrp 3.5 single and bully dog tuner. I like the additional engine monitoring that comes with the tuner. stock settings for most part till I hook up to the trailer. mbrp has a nice sound to it. Truck runs great no issues at all. Cheers
