Well it has been a long time between visits for my truck to the dealership but it will be spending the next couple of nights there.
Just poured a brand new garage slab for my truck and the second night parked on it I spotted an oil drop. Bottom of truck looked new 2 weeks ago when I changed the oil so it is a new leak.
Dropped it off at dealer last night and just got a call. Oil pan leaking, ordering a new one, two days.
While the tech was under the truck he also found that my radiator was leaking too. So one of those is on order too. My coolant level in both systems was right on the cold make when I changed the oil.
Sure glad I only have 30k miles and Ford is paying for both of these items.
So the limited edition composite oil pan on the early May build 1 scorpions are still failing. I thought mine would last since it has not even seeped.
Moral of the story I guess is: If your truck is used to parking on a dirt driveway, don't give it a new concrete pad!
Mine is a july build and still holding up fine. I actually really like the plastic drain nut. So easy to drain and replace.
I agree, that drain sure made for easy oil changes.

If its just the gasket I would ask to keep the old one
I didn't ask them where the leak was but when I looked under there yesterday it back end of the engine and TQ convertor housing were wet. I will ask next time I talk to them.
So far so good on my May 2010 build oil pan at 43,000.
I will sure miss the yellow drain plug if mine has to be replaced in the future.
Factory plug too.
Did you ever have to replace the o-ring on the yellow plug?

No, the drain plug never leaked. I thought that was one of the best things they put on the 6.7.
