what size bolt threads

I am putting power steering on my 64 f100 it has a 1985 gt 302 in it. what is the thread size in the end of the head where your screw mounting braket? Is it metric, standard, and what size.

Somewhere in the 80's Ford went to 9/16" for this bolt. Ask me how I know... the hard way. My early 302 heads (1968) are 3/8 while the Dart 302 heads (later 302) are 9/16.

Thanks for the info going to pick up both tomorrow reason I am having problem because dirt dobbers in my garage filled it with dirt and making sure it couldn't be metric thanks again will let I know

Same deal on the 460s with serpentine. The power steering AC bracket uses a 7/16th bolt that is necked down and threaded to 3/8.. Some time ford makes zero sense.
