Was the truck around a 1/4 tank, will it start back up when it cools down?

try putting fuel in it first, it may have run out of fuel.

i did not mean you intentionally ran out of fuel. these trucks are known for breaking the pickup in the fuel tank between 1/4 and 1/2 tank.
you can have 1/2 tank of fuel in it and still "run out of fuel"

on my 88, the front will "run out" or start sucking air at a little under 1/2, the rear a little over 1/8 on the gauge.
so i just make sure i keep the front over 1/2 and the rear over 1/4

I put fuel in it and i emptied the filter and the filter fills up and the i cracked an injector and nothing comes out of injector so is there a way the injector pump air locked or is it just plan shot?

when you turn the key to run position, do you hear a click from the injector pump? the fuel shut off valve is the rear of the two wires. it should have 12 volts when the key is on.
if no power, it is an electrical. if there is power, try unplugging the wire and listen for the valve working if no noise, the fuel shut off in the pump is bad.

the fSS is generally not a owner serviceable item, if the cover is not put on just the right way, you will get a full throttle runaway condition that could blow the engine.

do you know how many miles are on the injector pump? pump and injectors are usually a replace between 100 and 150 thousand miles recommendation.
i got 60K out of the first pump, 160 from the second, 140 from the third, and have 140 on this one. the current pump is getting very tired and really should be changed again, but i just haven't gotten around to it.
