Will it run toay??

I have an 85 302 carb intake flat tappet cam/lifters. It has been bored .40 over and had lots of head work and a high lift cam (.051 or .51 not sure which is the correct way to say)

I think I may be close enough to try to start today. This is my first ever rebuild and I'm super nervous. I put some heavy duty motor oil in it for trucks by suggestion in an attempt to get the highest zddp (zinc) content possible after reading several articles about how flat tappet cams need this during initial break in.

So can anyone who has started a fresh rebuild a time or two chime in any tips for a first timer?

should I expect a lot of cranking, or if everything is right should it start up fairly quick? It will get fuel via an electric pump so it should get gas pretty quick.

I still have one quart of oil to put in it and I planed to pour that staight into each of the valve covers ?? May be stupid but I figure it may help the top end out a little for the initial cranking.
