Radio Help

Got this radio and bezel from the jy today, but my truck wiring has been cut, need some help. From my research the blue/pink are illumination, yellow is power, pink, white and orange wires are speakers, black is ground. So, the one plug is poer and illumination, the other is speakers and ground, I'm assuming one ground for speakers, one for the radio? Don't want to fry it!
Going back next week to get a tach instrument cluster, giving $100 for everything. Guess what?
Wait for it...

The donor is a Ranger Lariat, and has the FOG LIGHT SWITCH of myth and legend! Too bad that bezel is shot, the woodgrain is peeling completely off.
Pics of my radio project...

Well, I dove in, wired it up, and something strange happened. The radio has two blue/pink wires, the truck only one. I hooked them together and the radio woeked, but the volume **** would dim all the instument lights, even with the lights off. Unhooked one of them and all good. Radio works, lights dim with the dimmer switch, bezel is nice. Only glitch is I don't have the clios the screws screw into. I'll work around it, as soon as I find the charger for my drill.
First time in my life I went from aftermarket to stock. Strange experience. My Excursion had an in dash dvd, 6 channel surround sound, 4 other monitors, and 2 10" subs on a 1000w amp, all done by me. Now I have factory am/fm and 1 speaker.

Your close(close enough) blue/red is illumination.

Yellow/black is ignition power

Speaker negative should be black with white spots.

The radio will ground through that large front metal plate. If you need another ground for the radio, run a wire to it from somewhere metal under the dash.

orange/lightgreen is the left speaker.

white/lightgreen is the right speaker.

I would have to assume, that it looks like the person who was building the radio at the factory ran out of orange wire. I have another radio somewhere with a similar miscolored wire on the radio.

The third wire on that side is supposed to be orange for the power antenna for installing that radio into cars. That wire is contolled by the volume on/off ****. Off no power lowers the antenna, on raises the antenna. Power antenna not used with pickups, so ignore the wire, just make sure it's covered so it doesn't short.

As for those metal "screw clips", just get a few the next time you are in the wreckers. I get a few of them with screws on occation. They come in handy with other projects besides your truck too.
