I'll be watching this thread since I'm also considering adding a 5 Star Tune too!
The V10 guys all rave about his products almost universally, that they improve nearly every performance aspect there is. MPG's seem to suffer a bit---only because its tough to keep the foot outta the gas afterwards!

I keep hearing about great customer service, but I emailed him 3 times in which he responded promptly, but he never actually answered my concerns. I guess I have to call.
What I would like to know, is there a different program for winter blend gas?
The van's performance stinks and the mileage goes from 12 to 10 in the winter.
I basically received the same response "3 tunes 87 perf 87 tow 87 economy"

shifting is vastly improved, more power everywhere-especially part-throttle,speed limiter gone,stock pcm was lazy in going to open loop-this was adressed- i have nearly 500 k miles on my 04-with troyer tunes since new-gonna get some from mike @ 5star to see how they compare.

I have a SCT SF3 tuner that I originally purchased for my '04 E350 5.4. Jody from DP Tuner wrote me 2 tunes for it and they were great. When I got my '08 E350 5.4 I wanted to get new tunes written for it but he told me he wasn't writing them for the '08. After some searching I found 5 Star, he wrote me a tune for 87 octane tow/perf that I loaded onto my SCT tuner. It definitely improves power throughout the rpm range, firms up the shifts and eliminates the 95 mph speed limiter(that was fun to test, my gps recorded 115 mph, wind resistance is the new speed limiter). I haven't tested for fuel mileage improvement since the tune, my foot seems to have gotten heavier but mileage has not suffered so it must help.
